Spatial experiences

Developed 30 years ago by employees of the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg initially for their own exhibition designs and optimized over the years, wob³walls can now be found in over 100 exhibition venues and museums across Europe and around the world.
As a non-profit subsidiary, wob³walls gGmbH now produces and distributes the modular partition wall system and manufactures and installs the popular walls with its proven team of metalworkers, carpenters, and painters.
Wob³walls enjoy an excellent reputation in the museum world, as they can be used to create a wide variety of wall configurations, individual exhibition designs, and flexible architectures. Room-in-room constructions, wall niches, and lintels, the installation of display cases, and the attachment of screens or loudspeakers are all possible. The walk-in wall units can serve as storage space for technical equipment or inspection access. Exhibition venues and galleries appreciate the advantages of the modular system components due to their easy handling, low weight, and space requirements for storage, which reduces assembly and disassembly times and ultimately costs. We respond to inquiries from our customers—mostly museums, galleries, and exhibition venues—about standard walls by asking about their wishes and individual needs and working with them to develop a customized product.
For good reasons.
Modular
wob³walls are a modular system for creating variable wall structures.
Aesthetic
wob³walls offer homogeneous structures, joint-free connections between components, and shadow gaps on the floor.
Multi-variant
wob3walls enable the installation of showcases, media technology, passageways, doors and inspection openings.
Time saving
wob³walls significantly reduce assembly and disassembly times by allowing wall sections to be repositioned entirely.
Light-weight
The individual modules of wob3walls have a low
tare weight.
Wieldy
wob3walls can be handled by only two persons, even large wall elements.
Easy to use
After initial instruction or initial installation by our technical team, wob3walls can be further modified and assembled by your own personnel.
Space saving
wob3walls require only little space as the individual modules can be dismantled for storage.
Sustainable
wob3walls help to save costs in the long run and reduce material requirements as all elements are reusable.
Tried and tested
wob3walls have proven their value internationally in over a hundred museums and galleries.
Highly in demand. Worldwide.

“The Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen would like to thank the team at wob³walls gGmbH for the new, flexible, and sustainable partition wall system. Not only is the partition wall system outstanding, but so is the entire process support: the assistance provided during the selection process, from ordering to delivery and initial installation, was exceptional.”
MAMCO
“wob3walls was recommended to us several times as a museum – and rightly so. For the first time, we decided to have a series of large-format walls prefabricated in a factory that was undergoing renovation.
The company provided us with extremely professional and patient support. We would particularly like to highlight the one-day training course, during which we installed three walls together in just one day.
We were impressed by the result: the quality of the surfaces and details was so high that we decided not to paint the walls. We can recommend wob3walls without reservation.”

Threembasic elements. Many variations.
Our wob3walls system consists of three basic elements:
- Basic ladder made of aluminium profiles
- Crossbars made of aluminium profiles
- for friction-locked connection of the ladders
- Height-adjustable feet
wob³walls kcan be produced as desired up to 6 meters high and free-standing from 40 cm depth. Depths of 17 cm and more can be realized as supporting walls in front of permanently installed interior and exterior walls.
We work with certified suppliers for the materials we use and can guarantee sustainable products that are climate-friendly and resource-efficient—with fire safety certificates available on request.
For statics, construction and staging, we gladly elaborate the concepts with you.
Assembly. Made easy.
The basic ladders and crossbars are driven into each other with a rubber mallet, and this way they are dismantled. This will not restrain the recyclability.
The interior construction is planked on all sides with a facing layer (we recommend a 13 mm blockboard with MDF face veneer). The blockboards are screwed onto the planed wooden strips, which are attached to all outer sides of the aluminium construction.
The joints between the individual panels are then covered with a special fabric tape, filled with filler, and sanded.
The surface can then be individually coated or covered with a high-quality emulsion paint or other paints or materials (e.g., fabrics).
The conversion. Our Wall Movers help.
In order to reduce the costs of architectural alterations for temporary exhibitions many times over, we have developed devices for moving our movable wall systems.
Wall Mover
Manual shifting system
With two pairs of Wall Movers, walls with a shadow gap can be moved easily up to a length of 10 metres so that no dismantling of the wall is necessary for rearrangements. This results in both time savings and savings in wood and painting work.
The units are designed as welded constructions made of laser-cut steel parts with heavy-duty and support castors.
Wall Mover Air
Pneumatic shifting system
Alternatively (and for smaller wall units this is the less expensive version) the partitions can be equipped with pneumatic sliding systems. For this purpose, such a system is mounted on every second aluminium ladder of the inner wall construction. One unit consists of two rubber swivel castors connected to each other, which can be extended and retracted by means of a compressed air- driven bellows cylinder. When extended, the wall can be easily moved. Once the wall is finally positioned, the compressed air is released from the rubber bellows so that the castors disappear invisibly inside the wall.
Wall Roller
For small walls
Small wall units can be easily repositioned with lifting castors.
